Acceptable Use Policy

Email Friend is for lawful, relevant, and respectful business communication. These rules apply to every campaign, list, tool, mailbox, and sending service.

Effective on publication. Review this page periodically for updates.

Required practices

  • Use consent or another valid, documented legal basis such as legitimate interest where permitted.
  • Identify the real sender and business, use accurate subjects, and avoid misleading claims.
  • Provide a clear opt-out path and honor requests promptly across every connected campaign and list.
  • Maintain a central suppression process so opted-out or repeatedly bouncing contacts are not re-imported.
  • Collect only necessary contact data, document its source, verify it near use, and protect it appropriately.
  • Monitor bounces, complaints, blocks, and replies, with clear thresholds for pausing a campaign.

Prohibited use

  • Spam, purchased or scraped lists with no lawful contact basis, or indiscriminate high-volume sending.
  • Deceptive identity, impersonation, forged headers, false urgency, misleading subjects, or hidden opt-out mechanisms.
  • Harassment, threats, discrimination, fraud, phishing, malware, credential theft, or attempts to evade filtering and enforcement.
  • Use involving illegal goods or services, exploitation, sensitive-data targeting, or content that violates another person's rights.
  • Continuing to contact recipients after an opt-out, hard bounce, complaint, or clear request to stop.
  • Selling, sharing, or repurposing contact data beyond the documented and lawful purpose.

Review and enforcement

Email Friend may ask for audience source, lawful-basis documentation, message samples, suppression controls, and technical configuration. Work may be refused, limited, paused, or terminated when these requirements are not met or when sending creates legal, security, reputation, or recipient harm.

Reporting concerns

Submit suspected abuse through Email Friend Support with enough information to investigate. Do not send passwords or unnecessary personal data. Good-faith reports are reviewed and may lead to access limits or preservation of records required for an investigation.

Questions about these terms or responsible use can be submitted through Email Friend Support. Do not include sensitive personal data.
